It seemed like a great day on September 29, 2016 when Google made the official announcement about G Suite and a ton of new features rolling out including the Explore Tool for Docs, Sheets, and Slides. It all seemed like amazing new advancements in Google Drive, until many teachers and students realized that one major Google Docs tool was missing: the Research Tool, and along with it the amazing Citation tools built within! It turned out to be a rather sad end to the week for many. But fear not! There are still some great citation options available for G Suite and Chrome users. And there's even a grassroots campaign to get back those citation tools in Explore!

Teaching students how to effectively use the Research Process while also focusing on proper citations, copy right, proper searching, website evaluation, synthesizing of information, and on, and on, and on can be a very daunting and exhausting task for both the teacher and the students! Luckily we have a wonderful online suite of tools to help ease and manage this process, all included within Google Drive! I'll share 4 Reasons why Google Drive is such a great way to teach the Research Process to students.
