5 Tips for Developing VR Content Creators by Smart Report on EdTech
I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to present a session at ISTE 2017 with my colleague, Gabriel Yanagihara. Our session was titled Changing the (Virtual) Reality of Education. We shared the various VR projects we both conducted during the 2016-2017 school year. Kanoe Namahoe, editor of SmartBrief on EdTech, attended our session and also interviewed us for a great article in their SmartReport on Edtech Back-to-School Issue. Read on for access to the article and a handy downloadable companion infographic!

Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor with 6 Virtual Reality Resources
December 7, 2016 will mark 75 years since the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor, a day that took the lives of many and changed the course of history for the entire world. It is a day that we never forget and a day that, we as teachers, should always take time to share with our students. When I was a 4th/5th grade educator teaching students about World War II, we would find our information from books, pictures, articles, and web resources. I couldn't simply take them on a field trip to significant sites from history. But now-a-days we can, with virtual reality.

With the explosion of +Google Cardboard (and Google Expeditions), my interest lately has been with the idea of students and teachers creating virtual reality and 360° content. So I've been exploring the market for an affordable 360° camera. I thought it might be helpful to others if there existed a comparison chart of all the affordable 360° cameras out there. Read further for my top pick and a handy (and constantly updated) comparison chart!

Let's just say I never got around to Cultural Institute and My Maps. Teachers were just blown away by the potential of Google Cardboard! Here's what I shared with them!
